What CHEN Stands For

At Children’s Hope & Empowerment Network (CHEN), education is more than books and classrooms—it’s dignity, access, and opportunity. We believe that every child, regardless of background or ability, deserves to learn in a safe, respectful, and faith-aligned environment.
Islamic Education & Values
We support madrasas across Kenya’s coast by:

  • Supplying Qur’ans, Juzuu, prayer mats, and desks
  • Supporting madrasa repairs and upgrades
  • Promoting inclusive learning for children with disabilities
  • Encouraging Sadaqah Jariyah through donor-supported learning spaces
    Secular & Life Skills Education
We partner with schools and families to:
  • Provide uniforms and school supplies for vulnerable children
  • Run homework clubs and mentorship programs
  • Offer parenting workshops and youth leadership training
    Inclusion & Accessibility
    We educate communities on:
  • Disability rights and mosque accessibility
  • Water hygiene and conservation
  • Child protection and gender equity

Faith + Action
Education at CHEN is guided by Islamic principles of mercy, justice, and service. We teach by doing—building wells, upgrading mosques, and distributing food with compassion and accountability.
